Taryn Watson is a specialist Women’s Health and Continence Physiotherapist who has developed six week exercise courses for pregnant women, new mothers with their babies (and volunteers to look after the babies while the mothers exercise!), and mothers of older babies who would like to exercise in the evenings. These classes are based on pilates and are low impact and pelvic floor friendly, while still being challenging. They aim to optimise flexibility, core muscle strength and posture, and are suitable for any stage of pregnancy and from 8 weeks postnatal. A team of highly trained physiotherapists deliver these classes at multiple locations around Perth. Other services include PregEd three hour education workshops and pelvic floor assessments for pregnant women, and a FitRight Pregnancy education and exercise DVD which summarises these classes, and is available to purchase from the website.
