But first… COFFEE!

Hi guys, my name is Elise and I am one of the Directors at Parent Parcel and this is my first ever blog so I hope you enjoy it!

After becoming a mum, I have learnt to love in so many more ways and to appreciate the smaller things in life…. First and foremost is the unconditional love you feel for your little baby…. However a close(ish) second is the appreciation and love of that liquid pot of gold… yes I’m talking coffee!!!!

In those first few weeks I made it my daily mission to get out of the house and find a place Orlando could enjoy some fresh air and I could enjoy some fresh coffee! This mission took me all over Perth and its surrounds. As such I have been able to develop a little list of my 10 personal faves for you… and the biggest bonus… these are ALL included in Parent Parcel (whoop whoop!)

1. MEWS ESPRESSO – 28 Moreau Mews APPLECROSS

This is the newest café to hit my local neighbourhood. Previously Toscanini’s, Mews Espresso has a modern, fresh feel about it. Serving up delicious food and drinks to match its definitely worth a visit.

2. THE KIOSK FLOREAT – Challenger Parade, CITY BEACH

Located at City Beach, The Kiosk offers healthy food and great coffee, a perfect way to start your day at the beach.

3. CRANKED – 106 Oxford Street, LEEDERVILLE

Conveniently located in the heart of Leederville and right next to a playground, this café is a must if you haven’t tried it before.

4. MISTER WALKER – Mends Street, SOUTH PERTH

Right on the banks of South Perth foreshore and next to a park this is the perfect place for a coffee fix. Whether you’re dining in or taking away to lap up the sunshine and attractions it will not disappoint!

5. WALDECKS BLUE LOTUS CAFÉ – Corner Karrinyup Road & Hamilton Street, STIRLING

Good coffee – check! Good food – check! Gated playground – enough said!

6. ACAI CORNER – Various Locations (visit https://www.theacaicorner.com.au/location)

So this place wont serve up your traditional lattes but if you’re looking for a good cold brew, this is your place… team this up with a delicious guilt free bowl of acai (enough to share with your kid/s) you’ll be feeling fantastic after you leave here!

7. CLANCY’s FISH PUB CANNING BRIDGE – 903 Canning Hwy, APPLECROSS

This is one of the few places when upon ordering a “Strong Dirty Chai Latte made with Soy milk” I don’t get looked at like I am speaking another language. Not only this, they are more than welcoming to my little man and just a short stroll down to the river.

8. SPROLO – 138 Canning Hwy, SOUTH PERTH

If you want good coffee… this is your place!! With an indoor children’s corner, it’s the perfect place to come and enjoy good coffee while you’re little one is nicely distracted ?

9. CANNING RIVER CAFÉ – Kent Street & Queens Park Road, WILSON

I come for the coffee… I stay for the amazing playground and it’s fantastic setting on the banks of the canning river. This place is quickly becoming a favourite for me and my mummy friends as it will cater for kids of all ages.

10. MOOBA – 7 Junction Bvld, COCKBURN CENTRAL

This funky coffee shop is an old sea-container transformed. Right next to the Cockburn Train Station and Cockburn Gateway shopping centre, this will give you the ultimate pick me up prior to a day of shopping with the kids.
